In April 2017, I found myself in San Francisco for 48 hours with a small film crew in tow, preparing for a job in Berkeley, and I reunited with my dear friend Robin for a coffee. This is where she shared with me all of her most recent updates, most notably her wedding — a wish and dream for herself recently fulfilled amongst some others, like traveling the world. She also revealed that she was living out her final months, weeks, days… I decided we had to capture her story and her essence, before too late. This video represents about a quarter of what Robin shared with us that day about her journey (this girl can talk!). I am so grateful that we had the time and resources to make this happen when we did, and further that Robin’s friends contributed so that we could pull the video together so that Robin could watch – and approve (yes, she had edits) — before finalizing and sharing with you all. Here’s to Robin, here’s to finding a cure — and Fuck Cancer, as Robin always said.
